 Ushio-Tei Japanese Restaurant Restaurant Review: A traditional Japanese menu is offered along with a limited selection of fresh sushi and sashimi. The presence of a buffet is somewhat disconcerting, but it is surprisingly unobtrusive and the choice of many diners. We prefer the gourmet bento boxes with elegantly presented dishes handcrafted by the chef. While the bento boxes are not inexpensive, the experience is well worth the price. One must remember that the charm of bento is not just in the food itself, but also in the satisfying sensory experience of the lacquer boxes, the juxtaposition of colors and textures in the food and the homage to the season in which you are dining. Service is quietly efficient and friendly. |
