THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Vale Restaurant Review: The Vale conforms to the mould of late-nineties Modern European---pale wood with matte silver detail and lots of frosted glass. The menu changes daily, trawling Europe and beyond for culinary influences, producing the likes of pea and mint soup with lettuce, scallops and roast lamb. The short wine list deserves praise for well-chosen selections (many available by the glass). Set dinner menus are £15.50 for 2 courses, £18.50 for three.
