Vargo’s is primarily a special events location, a lovely outdoor venue for wedding receptions and parties. But they do offer dinner and Sunday brunch for individuals. The main draw is less the menu and more the grounds with roaming peacocks, a lake and quaint gazebos. Dinner fare is pretty standard country club food with French onion soup and Caesar salad as appetizers, and big steaks and broiled lamb chops as entrées. There is also a decent chicken breast stuffed with Roma tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and mozzarella. Vargo’s has plenty of sweet desserts and a decent wine list and full bar, plus a clubby little lounge.
