Go Vegetarian Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Set with nice wooden tables and chairs and painted in vibrant colors, this bright, cheerful spot imitates a classic American fast-food operation, but serves vegetarian and vegan fare with a Southern approach. Seitan indeed tastes like real meat, as in pulled pork. A variety of "burgers" feature portobello mushrooms or black beans. Sweet potato fries are cut on site and fried to order. Cornbread, mac 'n' cheese and collard green have brought the menu into a Southern focus. Breakfast (served from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) offers vegan scrambles based on tofu, and there's faux bacon, sausage (even sausage gravy) and a mock chicken biscuit. Desserts, when available, mostly come from nearby Southern Sweets, which is famous for its vegan treats. Apple pie and chocolate cake are favorites. Dairy-free ice creams are house-made. Go for a natural Brew soda or a soy shake.
