Vero Amore Restaurant Review

: The Mussman brothers turned the heat up on the city's pizza wars when they brought authentic Neapolitan pizza to Tucson. Of course, being young and creative, they created a list of pizzas that makes diners think outside the box. Meat lovers will be surprised with the anima pie topped with andouille instead of the familiar Italian sausage. The smoked mozzarella and Parmesan add a deep, savory twist. On the other hand, you’ll also find a picante pie with tomato sauce, mozzarella, red pepper flakes and onions. Several white pizzas can also be found. The menu has expanded in recent years to include pastas like baked linguine marinara and entrées such as the chicken mimosa with spinach, artichoke hearts, imported prosciutto, bow tie pasta and creamy Champagne sauce. Panini are served at lunch and run the full gamut. Wines are an eclectic mix, beers are unique and cocktails are trendy. Dining at either location works, but we prefer the more intimate east-side locale. The food here is VPN certified.
