Via Emilia 9 Restaurant Review:

At this Italian joint in South Beach, chef-owner Giancarlo “Wendy” Cacciatori can be found making pasta from scratch every day. His wife, Valentina, darts around the quaint and romantic space delivering plates of tortellini in piquant broth; some type of gnocchi; meatballs in bolognese sauce or veal milk stew to guests who may have already dined there once or twice in the same week. She's also in charge of much of the wine list, which draws from Italy's many regions. The menu takes inspiration from regional Italian cuisine, staying true to Bologna, which is where Wendy was born, raised and had restaurants before coming to South Beach. Don't leave without indulging in the mascarpone with Pavesini and Nutella alongside affogato al caffe (coffee with ice cream).
