The Village is a great little café and bakery with excellent breads and pastries, plus a few surprises. The pain au jambon isn't stuffed with ordinary ham, but with applewood-smoked ham from Niman Ranch. These are the touches that set Village Baking Co. apart. All the baking is done on the premises. The short lunch menu consists of sandwiches served on a variety of breads with a focus on fresh produce from the local farmers market and good quality ingredients. In case you're in need of a massive infusion of chocolate, opt for one of the little truffle cakes made with Valrhona Caraïbe chocolate---and you have our permission not to share.
