Wazuzu Restaurant Review: Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Singaporean and Thai specialties are blended amid the exciting décor at Wazuzu. Some 90,000 Swarovski crystals make up the 27-foot, three-dimensional ornamental dragon that dances across the wall, while 2,400 lights sparkle within the room. The menu showcases fresh sushi and sashimi options like tuna belly, sea urchin and snapper, and creative maki such as the Wazuzu roll, a snow crab-filled California roll topped with freshwater eel. Dim sum is served all day, and other specialties include signature hot wings --- all crisp, spicy and sweet in one bite --- and Korean galbi short ribs with soy, sesame and brown sugar. Among live seafood options are lobster or crab with a black bean sauce, ginger and scallions. Dessert incorporates Asian flavors as well, from the curiously strong green tea sorbet to the ice kachang, a Malaysian dessert of shaved ice, sweet red beans, tropical fruit and condensed milk.
