Dining room at West Egg Cafe, Atlanta, GAReinvented as the proprietor of this quirky café, former attorney Jennifer Johnson has developed a loyal following among the area's loft denizens. Eggs are nicely cooked as ordered, and the roasted garlic grits are fine although not traditionally Southern (neither is the dab of minced parsley that adorns them). Serving this urban and urbane crowd, meats are limited to poultry, except for some Canadian bacon that's too heavy with faux smoke flavors. Nice biscuits and even nicer cupcakes from the enterprise's bakery and good coffee (including the decaf) make this a good breakfast stop. Lunch tilts to sandwiches and salads. Some of the sandwiches are held over for the dinner service, and other items are added as well, along with burgers. Breakfast is served all day long. A big plus: Brunch is served until 5 p.m.
