Whispers Restaurant Restaurant Review: Whispers Restaurant overlooks Spring Lake, providing a cozy, intimate dining room polished with Victorian-era chandeliers and plush furniture. Among the entrées, opt for the grilled swordfish, beautifully cooked and colorfully served with bright red and yellow grape tomatoes, olives, capers and basil, with toasted orzo spinach pilaf as an accompaniment. Another option is the Chilean sea bass bouillabaisse, the seafood and vegetables awash in a heady saffron tomato and anise broth. Sadly, the wine list is woefully small, but you can bring your own to accommodate the tempting menu selections. The dessert choices will delight; we recommend The Ultimate Cookie Cake --- warm cookie dough outside, with a chocolate chip filling and a topping of vanilla gelato. Service is friendly and polished.
