Wilde Bar & Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Who would have thought that what East Lakeview residents really needed --- and wanted --- was an Oscar Wilde-inspired Irish pub with all the traditional trimmings? But step inside this handsome spot --- flush with dark wood, big leather booths, two fireplaces and stained-glass domes --- and you’ll find a lively crowd (and somewhat atypical menu) almost any night of the week. In a 'hood full of restaurants and bars that cater either to the local gay clientele or frat boys, Wilde Bar & Restaurant manages to work for everyone (there’s even a kids’ menu). The menu is just as diverse, with items ranging from curried mussels to crab cakes to grilled Caesar salad. But you can easily skip all that and grab a fine pint of Guinness and a plush leather chair in the “library” instead. Good luck reading after you've had a couple.
