Wilf's Restaurant & Piano Bar Restaurant Review: This forties- and fifties-spirited supper club-type restaurant at historic Union Station has an elegant dining room that harkens back to a more dignified, serene era. Seats are high-backed with red velvet and live jazz fills the air Wednesdays through Saturdays. But there’s also a modern commitment to local, sustainable and organic produce. Start with the creamy truffle bread pudding or enjoy the traditional service of a tableside-tossed Caesar salad. Then try the steak Diane, also prepared tableside, or spice-rubbed fried chicken served with grilled pineapple rings. The vegetarian menu proposes creations like baked tofu with spiced peanut butter served with sriracha, kale and toasted cashews. Although the wine list is lengthy, imbibing a dry martini may be more welcome. For the late-night set, Wilf's offers a variety of after-dinner drinks as well as exotic flambéed desserts such as bananas Foster.
