The Windsor Restaurant Review: Set on the corner of W. 4th and W. 10th Streets, in a space that has seen numerous restaurants come and go in the last decade, this slightly upscale sports-oriented restaurant-bar hopes to have the game-winning formula that helps it stick around a while. The better-than-average pub grub helps. A truffle-loaded grilled cheese on brioche is a hit. So are the Guinness-battered fish ‘n’ chips. Salads are also on offer. The usual beer is on tap and there are a few (slightly pricey) signature cocktails. Finish it all off with smooth red velvet cake served in a jar. Sports, booze, and comfort food has always been a successful match---for better or worse---so we’ll place our bets on The Windsor sticking around. At least until the final buzzer sounds. |
