THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe Restaurant Review

: Wolfgang Puck’s Grand Café seems to be a hit in Evanston. But when you offer something for everybody---pizza, pasta, sandwiches, fish, chicken---that is high quality and reasonably priced, what’s not to like? The fact that the restaurant is practically an extension of the Century Theatre in downtown Evanston doesn’t hurt, either. But we like Puck’s style regardless. The rosemary chicken with mashed potatoes is a knockout dish; so is the smoked salmon pizza. The Key lime pie is as good as any you would get in Key West. From the raw bar, the oysters are pristine and succulent. Service is bouncy, informative and sometimes theatrical. But then that’s Puck’s style, and he does have style.
