Won More Szechuan Cuisine Restaurant Review: From its second-floor perch overlooking English Bay, Won More has been an institution in Vancouver’s West End for decades. The affordably priced menu lists Szechuan fare that runs from mild for the faint-of-palate to four-alarm on the capsaicin scale. Piquant picks include spicy pork with peanut and hot chilis, eggplant with minced beef in hot garlic sauce, and beef with dry tangerine peel. Or take a walk on the mild side with less fiery fare such as moo shu shrimp, or the lusty flavors of Singapore noodles, lightly curried and entwined with barbecued pork, shrimp or shredded omelet and crispy bean sprouts.
