Woody's Famous Philadelphia Cheesesteaks Restaurant Review: After 35 years, David Pastoria finally yielded in 2010 to the entreaties of Steven Renner, and sold him the little spot at the corner of Virginia Ave. and Monroe Dr. Although having some issues with bread quality, the place still does a good Philly cheesesteak. Terrific grilled hot dogs and Polish and Italian sausages are another trio of treats. Customers line up at the door waiting to place orders, and the wait for a table inside can be even longer. Try to go in the off times---before or after the lunch rush. As there’s a high school right across the street, Woody's gets jammed at lunch. |
