Yard House Restaurant Review: While Yard House boasts a large selection of draft beer and is best known for its backyard-style burgers, it also offers good seafood and steaks --- and it has a pretty decent, if limited, wine list. That said, on a Friday or Saturday night in season it’s a party scene where you can wait up to an hour for a seat, even at the bar. You may try the selection of fresh Hawaiian seafood flown in daily and prepared grilled, blackened or macadamia nut-crusted. There's a lengthy vegetarian menu, too, as well as a selection of under-600-calorie options and a menu of “skinny” cocktails. Watch out, though, for the Asian-inspired specialties, which tend to cater to the American sweet tooth. When the appropriate time comes for dessert, finish with a draft beer float or succumb to the macadamia nut cheesecake. An "eat late" menu features a quartet of street-inspired dishes, such as the Monte Cristo pops --- a deep-fried ham, turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich dusted with powdered sugar and with jalapeño peach syrup.
