Yum Thai Bistro Restaurant Review

: A dimly lit and stylish dining room is the frame for this family-operated Thai bistro. Plump and juicy chicken “dynamite wings” are stuffed with chopped mushrooms, onions and glass noodles, and deep-fried to a light, crispy exterior, while tom kha soup is a coconut milk-based broth with a depth of flavor, blended with lemon grass, makrut lime juice, chicken and mushrooms. Pumpkin curry is made with thick coconut cream, Thai basil and chunks of tender pumpkin that come together for a slightly sweet taste. Creative large plates include garlic calamari, with squid that has been marinated in sweet ponzu and stir-fried with oyster sauce, as well as whole crispy trout seasoned with herbs, spices, cilantro and lime juice. Of course, noodle and rice dishes are available, too. For dessert, mango with sticky rice, fried bananas and coconut ice cream make an appearance. A small beer and wine list is also on offer.
