Zampa Restaurant Review: Chef Julie Di Tursi cooks while her husband Cory McPhee greets guests and pours locally crafted wine, beer and spirits suited to the regional cuisine, largely prepared with ingredients sourced from area farms. With many Italian influenced dishes, the menu also takes off on a more creative track with limoncello-cured organic Scottish salmon, seared sea scallops and braised pork belly, or a blue cheese encrusted NY strip with a roasted shallot green peppercorn sauce. A favorite for kids and grown-ups alike is the Sloppy Joe made with tomato-simmered pork and beef. Try the classic steak frites or duck à l'orange with berries. For dessert, there is always sweet comfort in apple crisp, or try the chocolate bombe to end things with a bang.
