: Chef-owner Lucas Gasco created what could be taken for a bustling tapas bar in the heart of Madrid's Old Quarter-and it's certainly one of the best tapas spots in San Francisco. Almost anything is good, but the croquettes (either chicken or ham), pan con tamate, escalivada (cold grilled marinated vegetables), duck leg, poached octopus and classic tortilla Espa-ol are favorites. The restaurant takes its name from a seafood stew, which is always available. The wine list has a number of good Spanish choices, including a decent sherry selection.
