Zell's an American Cafe Restaurant Review: This homey, casual café always draws a crowd. Casual Eastside folks from the neighborhood jockey for spots with devoted fans of the enormous German pancakes who drive in from all over town to get a fix. Everyone is friendly here, and if you have to wait a bit, there are scores of newspapers and magazines around to ease you through the hunger pangs. This is the kind of place where your coffee mug will be refilled even before you put it back down on the table. Or try a spicy Bloody Mary or sweet mimosa. Omelets are standouts---wild mushroom, unusual cheeses, plus interesting vegetable combinations. For lunch, try a burger, meatloaf sandwich, or one of several big salads. |
