| A modern hotel in a city better known for its nineteenth-century allure, the W New Orleans in the Central Business District offers a totally contemporary restaurant in keeping with its urbane, sleek style. Check out the Lite Bites for small plates and soups. For lunch, the Kobe beef burger is a full-flavored treat with avocado and apple wood-smoked bacon. The dinner menu is rather limited, but a standout is the chef’s crispy duck entrée with a pecan molasses glaze and sweet potato purée. The once-comprehensive wine list now focuses largely on American wines, with a smattering of French, Italian and Australian options. For dessert, we suggest the raspberry sorbet. Service may be inconsistent. |
