Zoe Restaurant Review: A modern hotel in a city better known for its nineteenth-century allure, the W New Orleans in the Central Business District offers this totally contemporary restaurant in keeping with its urbane, sleek style. Breakfast can be as traditional as a classic omelet or as imaginative as a Belgian waffle topped with bananas Foster. For lunch, crab meat mac ‘n’ cheese or blackened redfish tacos might hit the spot. Or check out the “Lite Bites” for small plates and soups. Gulf seafood pasta and a respectable risotto round out the menu. For dessert, we suggest the raspberry sorbet. The wine list focuses largely on American wines, with a smattering of French, Italian and Australian options. While Zoë is not a standout on the local dining scene, it is a pleasant place for a quick daytime repast. |
