Home Away From Home
Self-Contained Living in a New York Landmark

The Hollywood Suite

The Lowell, a circa 1927 landmark Art Deco/Modern building, is a stone's throw away from Manhattan's famous museums and distinguished shopping. Although it caters to an elite cast of movie moguls, fashion designers, financiers and publishers, its doors are open to everyone.

The list of services and amenities is extensive. To name a few: a dedicated fitness center; the Pembroke Room for power breakfasts and afternoon tea; wood-burning fireplaces in suites; full-service kitchens in most rooms; and a business center for those who can tear themselves away from the creature comforts of their swanky accommodations.

The Garden Suite

The Post House restaurant, presided over by executive chef Andres Tzul, prides itself on steaks, chops and seafood specialties and an array of daily specials. Lunch is served Monday through Friday, and dinner every night of the week.

The variety of guestrooms offers a little something for everyone. Featuring silver screen ambience, the Hollywood Suite features a conference room for twelve, a big-screen TV with surround sound, a 41-inch TV with VCR, DVD and CD player, original artwork, his and hers marble bathrooms, fax, and five or more telephones.

The Pembroke

Another of our favorites is the Garden Suite, with two large terraces, as well as a library of books on garden topics. Although each accommodation has its own features, all share certain upscale amenities, such as iPods and iPod docking stations, Bose Wave stereo systems, WiFi access, The New York Times delivered daily, Fiji water at turndown and gourmet mini bar snacks from Dean and Deluca.
