While Bowers Harbor Vineyards is located on Old Mission Peninsula, the Pinot Noir grapes that go into their 2011 Rosé are grown on the neighboring Leelanau Peninsula. Created by limiting the juice's contact with the skins for 36 hours, the resulting wine is bone dry and low in alcohol. In the mouth, it displays a mélange of strawberry, cranberry and melon flavors with a hint of spice on the finish.
