Agapes Restaurant Review:
Set in a rustic inn near the Jardin des Plantes, Frederic Naulleau’s traditional French restaurant embraces gastronomic techniques, serving menu items like Burgundy snails with fat streaky bacon, bream fillets in a Parmigiano and herb crust, and melting ox cheek bound with foie gras. For dessert, the chef offers creamy milk rice, milk caramel and lukewarm brioche. Mrs. Naulleau heads the reception behind the bar and warmly welcomes patrons. However, the service could be more diligent. The wine list is rather terse and the prices are reasonable. Most vintages are served by 25 ounce, 13 ounce and five ounce. Lunch menu at €20.
