Bellagio Restaurant Review:
Tucked behind the Méridien Hotel - Porte Maillot, this restaurant rehabilitates the charms of traditional Italian cuisine. The décor is simple, emphasizing Venetian paintings and Murano chandeliers. The cuisine’s appeal stems from the great care brought to the presentation of each dish as well as the variety of items offered. The menu includes antipasti, baked sweet peppers, roasted zucchinis, bruschetta al pomodoro, roasted eggplant, sweet and sour onions, octopus salad, sardines and fresh anchovies marinated in lemon and marinated artichokes. More than ten, thin-crust pizzas are served crispy and moist. The spaghetti alla Bolognese is rather well-seasoned and al dente, while the breaded veal scallop alla Milanese, served with fresh tomato linguette, is finely executed. This food can successfully be paired with a jug of Soave Carpuso from the Vérone region.
