: On the well-trafficked stretch of Franklin Street is Brooklyn Label, a popular eatery for hungry hipsters. Big picture windows let in plenty of light and bright yellow walls help reflect a sunny disposition. Patrons at the large bar get the best view of the open kitchen and the oversize chalkboard that serves as the menu. The fare sticks to American classics, more or less, with occasional Southern or Southwestern flourishes in the french toast and huevos rancheros. Lunch follows a typical sandwich and salad route, while dinner gets modestly creative with smoky andouille quinoa, cider pork chops, and buffalo chicken mac ānā cheese. |
