Chan Dara Restaurant Review:
One of the first hip Thai restaurants in L.A., Chan Dara is still going strong. The typical Thai dishes are done very well here: not-too-sweet mee krob, chewy pad thai noodles, various vegetable stir-fries, spicy beef and commendable satays. Barbecued chicken is a mainstay, as are such seafood specialties as basil-and-chili-sauced "rock and roll" clams and deep-fried catfish. For dessert try the mango cheesecake.
