Cooklyn Restaurant Review:
The slender dining room of this Prospect Park eatery is bright with its brick walls painted white, and there’s a cheery garden out back. Food-wise, everyone goes for at least one order of the braised lamb buns. Steamed dough enfolds juicy bits of lamb, topped with a cold feta cream and dill. Raw fluke is dressed up with citrusy yuzu and basil purée. Lobster mac ‘n’ cheese is finished with a poached egg over spiraled noodles, while the tender filet of beef has a crispy, salty outer edge and is served next to seared scallions, roasted vegetables and oyster mushrooms. Staff is knowledgeable about the well-curated international wine list. Desserts change regularly, but expect refined poached fruits or the ever-popular panna cotta with seasonal berries.
