District Tap House

A gastropub for the Garment District.
District Tap House Restaurant Review:
Although located a few blocks south of Times Square, this gastropub feels like it’s a million miles away from the glitz and flash of the “Crossroads of the World.” And that’s a good thing. You’ll feel like you’re dining in a chic bar amid the wood-paneled interior. However, District is much more of a destination to drink and graze on food paired with the libations, and not the other way around. There are 50 draught beers, even more by bottle, and a small handful of cocktails on tap. The comfort food menu is a compendium of small plates, including cashew-stuffed bacon-wrapped dates, crispy goat cheese and pepper croquettes, watermelon-spiked sea bass ceviche, and mac ‘n’ cheese made with smoked Gouda and Fontina. Sweeten things up with the molten chocolate cake.
