Foragers Table Restaurant Review:
It’s easy to see why Foragers Table touts itself as a locavore restaurant. Step through the door of the wine shop and Hudson Valley greenmarket, which also bears the Foragers name, and enter a tiled room where the menu changes according to what’s sold in the market. Vegetables, eggs and herbs come from Foragers’ own 28-acre farm. Expect comfort foods like East Coast fluke carpaccio, deviled Foragers Farm eggs, roasted chicken with Hudson Valley polenta, and wild striped bass. Local wines accompany selections from around the globe along with beers from New York microbreweries. A large choice of sparkling, red and white wines by the glass is also available. Finish with the rich maple pot de crème or bread pudding made with rosemary focaccia.
