![]() : Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market, run by a second-generation Cuban-American family, offers dockside dining and an upstairs deck, both with views of the Miami River with tugs chugging past. The faded, chipped mural over the retail counter and bar whispers of Old Miami sea culture. The food hasn't changed much over the years, starting with the smoked fish dip and saltines that come to each table. There are grilled or fried mahi mahi and grouper sandwiches, stone crabs in season, and seafood in Creole sauce with yellow rice and sweet plantains or tostones with mojo dipping sauce. Ask your server to recommend what's available or check the downstairs seafood market for the freshest daily selections. Weather permitting, you can't go wrong seated outside, making a meal of Garcia's conch fritters and grilled lobster tail with a mojito or Bloody Mary. |
