Garcia's Seafood Grille & Fish Market Restaurant Review

: Known best by downtown execs, this charmer is a second-generation fishing company turned restaurant. The faded, chipped mural over the retail counter and bar whispers of another era of Miami sea culture. We get the feeling food hasn't changed much since the past generation ran the place. Dishes are straightforward, no-fuss Florida renditions of regional American standards. Don't be concerned when the items you've selected from the menu have run out. Better yet, ask your server to recommend what's fresh and available. The retail seafood market downstairs is a great place to eyeball the freshest daily selections. Wine knowledge and availability are challenged here, but weather permitting, you can't go wrong seated outside overlooking the Miami River, making a meal of Garcia's celebrated hushpuppies, crab cakes and affordable stone crabs and lobsters.
