THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED James' Beach Restaurant Review:
This noisy neighborhood favorite (formerly the oh-so-hip West Beach Café) is fun and festive, with a nice patio out front. The cuisine, meanwhile, should be taken seriously, as executive chef Jorge Valines, who replaced former chef Shari Lynne Robins, turns out such dishes as New York steak with a Cabernet reduction sauce and a braised lamb cassoulet. There’s also a variety of seafood to consider, too, as well as a lunchtime sushi menu. Wines play an important role in the James' Beach dining experience.
