An Upper East Side restaurant that will never go out of style, no one is exactly sure what makes John's pizza so good. It could be the coal-fired oven that chars the thin crust, the mound of fragrant fresh garlic that tops off every piece, or the first-rate ingredients like crumbly sweet Italian sausage, green peppers and fresh mushrooms.
