THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kion Dining Lounge Restaurant Review:
Peru meets Japan with taste bud-exploding results at this East Village eatery. Creative sushi rolls include salmon ceviche with spicy mayo, hamachi, avocado and cucumber. There’s also an exhaustive list of ceviches, where you can find oysters or clams with tangy leche de tigre or the salmon with cucumber, avocado, aji amarillo, seaweed and lime yuzu sauce. Shareable tapas include grilled miso-panca marinated beef, shrimp and chicken skewers served with blue potatoes with feta cheese sauce and kalamata aïoli. The sleek and schizophrenic design---complete with visually arresting lights---is stimulating to the point of distraction.
