Lakruwana Restaurant Review:
Lukruwana’s interior evokes a temple, with Buddha statues in corners and ancient spears hanging from the wall. The restaurant presents a daily lunch buffet that’s a good introduction to the Sri Lankan cuisine, one of the spiciest on the planet. Most of the dishes on the buffet are not hot, accommodating those sensitive to spice. In general, the vegetarian items are better than the meat offerings. The coconut and kale, sweet pineapple curry, and yellow lentil curry will inspire you to head back to the buffet for more. From the regular menu order some hoppers, a sort of pancake that comes with a soft-cooked egg on top and enhanced when dipped in curry. There’s no alcohol served, so cool your palate with water or juice.
