Nerai Restaurant Review:
This upscale Greek restaurant in Midtown sports a predictably nautical décor while its menu is loaded with classic dishes and more. Consider ordering a spread or two to start, such as the garlic-and-saffron-spiked skordalia. Grilled octopus is done just right (crispy/charred on the outside, gooey on the inside); we also like the Norwegian cod, wading in a shallow pool of slightly sweet orange-ouzo sauce. For dessert, consider the delicate lavender mousse with lavender-infused honey if it’s on the menu. There are several nice crisp wines from Greece available by the glass, and creative signature cocktails, too. Service is professional.
