Bahr Che Restaurant Review:

This diminutive wine bar is not easy to find. Located on the ground floor of the Charles Gwathmey-designed eyesore of a building and across the street from the eye-pleasing Cooper Union, Bahr Che (which is sometimes written Bahr|Che) is a pleasant place to nurse a glass or two of wine. Vino comes in quarter and half carafe (a quarter and half a liter, respectively) servings and the wine list is nicely edited to include many small winemakers, including bottles from Croatia and Slovenia. There are also some nice selections from off-the-radar southwestern France. Food comes in the form of mostly cold delights: artisanal cheese plates, foie gras, pâtés and first-rate charcuterie.
