THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Pinto Restaurant Review:

As sleek and stylish as its prime West Village location suggests, this gallery-like eatery brings upscale Thai cuisine to the neighborhood. While the menu can be uneven, there are some successes as well. The narrow front room is punctuated by plenty of soft back-lighting and chic, but slightly kitschy, wood paneling. The pad thai is nothing to write home about, but the lemon grass and poached shrimp soup is complex and taste bud tantalizing. For entrées, the seared salmon is nicely cooked --- the fish fresh and flaky. Wok-sautéed basil with garlic-chili sauce achieves a nice balance between spicy and savory.
