THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED 54Twenty Restaurant Review:
This smart, surprising, and a bit rock ‘n’ roll all-day breakfast and lunch spot occupies a corner space of the Dixie Hollywood Hotel. A serendipitous mix of locals and stylish young tourists lounge in the booths along the windowed wall or at the counter. Elevated morning comfort food includes thick Niman Ranch maple-braised bacon, french toast stuffed with cinnamon cream cheese nicely offset with strawberry thyme jam, and scrambled ranch eggs jazzed up with hominy, charred tomato and chipotle mayo. We like the cloud-light egg white frittata with fennel, caramelized onions and gremolata. For lunch, consider the juicy burger built with grass-fed beef, complemented by bacon and sheep’s milk cheese, while a corned duck Reuben comes with pickled red cabbage and Gruyère on rye. Don’t miss the house-made ice creams in rotating flavors like goat’s milk and fresh mint.
