This Mediterranean-inspired restaurant serves, not surprisingly, many dishes zipped up with aïoli, the garlic-infused mayonnaise popular in northern Spain and southern France. Chef Javier Hernandez’s changing menu features such creations as baked Brie with garlic-onion jelly; a veal chop with Cognac cream-pepper sauce; and tuna mignon with red pepper confit and sweet basil sauce. Tapas include octopus and calamari ceviche, baked goat cheese with garlic bread and tomato sauce, and tortilla Española. The wine room is elegant for private parties, and owner Heather Leeparc’s love of wine is evident throughout the extensive and reasonably priced list.
