Amaya Japanese Restaurant and Ultra Lounge Restaurant Review:

With its prominent bar, faux crocodile-skin wallpaper and flashy LED lighting, Amaya’s lounge feels just right for sipping saké cocktails while snacking on hamachi carpaccio after a few hours at the mall. But a small dining room with a touch of elegance beckons more conservative guests for a relatively quiet Japanese dinner. A sushi bar dispenses respectable morsels of fresh fish, while flaming specialty rolls (more drama than flavor) are delivered from the kitchen. Out of the fryer come soft shell crab, karaage and gyoza dumplings, while ono steak emerges from the oven, served with spicy ponzu. The menu is extensive and diverse, the saké list sufficient, and desserts --- everything from mochi ice cream to cheesecake --- sweet.
