Arnie Morton's The Steakhouse Restaurant Review: Because steak maven Arnie Morton's son Peter had already used the family name for his trendy West Hollywood restaurant, the nationwide steakhouse chain created a unique name to distinguish itself in the late '80s. At this location in the Warner Center, the steaks are the same aged Prime you'll find elsewhere, complete with classic sides like creamed spinach, Lyonnaise potatoes and button mushrooms. Oysters Rockefeller and a center-cut iceberg wedge salad make for satisfying starters. In addition to cuts of filet mignon, rib-eye and New York strip, there are alternatives to red meat such as honey-glazed salmon, crab cakes and shrimp scampi. The soufflés must be ordered in advance, and while chocolate is the favorite with most diners, raspberry and lemon provide a lighter finish. The comprehensive wine list covers the globe, with a lengthy section devoted to California Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
