| Decked out in gold vinyl and Formica, with massive photos of overstuffed sandwiches lining the walls, Art's is expensive for a deli, but you'll never feel cheated. A noisy and bustling place, its tables and booths are filled with neighborhood families and movie industry folks---both the famous and not-so-famous---from nearby studios. They come for gargantuan hot pastrami and corned beef sandwiches, substantial chopped liver, fresh lox and fresh-baked bagels. We agree with the deli's not-so-tongue-in-cheek motto that “Every Sandwich is a Work of Art.” Before exiting, be sure to swing by the bakery for a mini chocolate Bundt cake or danish. |
