Aspire Restaurant Review: Aspire has achieved at least one of its lofty goals: this Hotel Providence hotspot has grown into an established part of the city’s restaurant scene. Three distinct dining spaces may appeal to those who want a choice among an elegant night out in the chandelier-lit main room, al fresco courtyard noshing, or chic small plates at the hotel's stylish bar. Rhode Island influences are evident in a menu that leans heavily on seafood, and young professionals watching their budget will appreciate the $10 menu prices at the A-Bar. Menu highlights include the Gorgonzola ravioli and a pork shank braised in ginger beer and served over Parmesan polenta. Pan-seared sea scallops make the foundation of a well-constructed gnocchi dish. A special three-course theatre menu is served when there’s a show in town. |
