THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED August Chris Cafe Restaurant Review:
This comfortable little spot serves tasty but reasonably priced California bistro fare, reminiscent of nearby Café Bizou, and arguably just as good. We recommend the generously portioned seared ahi tuna salad, crab cakes with lobster aïoli, wild mushroom ravioli, filet mignon with Bordeaux sauce, pan-roasted whitefish with spinach, mashed potatoes and a delicately-flavored lemon vinaigrette, and the roast duck breast with butternut squash purée. The two cozy dining rooms are done in white accented with plants and gallery art. One has an option to add soup or salad to any entrée for $1 and a nominal $2 corkage fee encourages folks to scour their own cellars for the perfect wine.
