THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cafe Clover Restaurant Review:
This Greenwich Village restaurant puts an emphasis on simple, health-conscious, seasonal fare with much of the menu geared toward plant-eaters. And for the most part, it works. Grab a table in the high-ceilinged dining room or, in warm weather months, on the terrace for some great people-watching. Peruse the offerings while sipping a glass of wine (selections are all over the map, geographically and price-wise). Graze on the kale salad, with blood orange and watermelon radish; seared softshell crab is good enough to warrant another visit. Winning entrées include the red curry-laced Scottish salmon and the veggie burger made with beets and mushrooms; the other burger didn’t pair so well with the intrusive and tough sweet potato bun. Save room for the almond milk panna cotta for a sweet finish.
