Eddie Merlot's Restaurant Review:

Eddie Merlot’s is a Midwestern chain steakhouse where people come for special occasions, ones spent indulging in steak, seafood and wine. The restaurant offers plush surroundings, and it's known for its Prime steaks, aged for a minimum of 21 days and hand-cut by the chef. But while the kitchen keeps the beef pure, it seasons pork and chicken with a bold and earthy rub of cumin, coriander, garam masala and mustard seeds. The extensive menu also includes duck, lamb chops and sushi. Appetizers and platters alone are substantial enough to constitute a meal. Our money’s on the latter, prepared for a minimum of two people. Opt for the Atlantic (shrimp, oysters, mussels, sea scallop ceviche), Arctic (lobster, Alaskan king crab legs, shrimp) or Pacific (shrimp, oysters, mussels, seared sea scallops ceviche, Alaskan king crab legs). It’s hard to save room for dessert, but the crème brûlée french toast and the s’mores will make you wish you had. Service is attentive.
