Marshall Stack Restaurant Review:

The Lower East Side has no shortage of watering holes vying for both visiting weekend hordes and everyday locals. Marshall Stack, named for a guitar amplifier, is one of the coziest. The low-key décor includes simple wood tables, a stamped tin ceiling, and framed photos of those namesake amps. Drinks range from high-end microbrews to tongue-in-cheek swill like Boone’s Farm and Night Train. The limited food offerings---cooked in a tiny open kitchen at the end of the bar---cover similar territory. Duck skewers and plates of savory charcuterie are offered alongside approximations of after school snacks like toaster-oven-prepared English muffin pizzas.
